Beyond Psychology V.8.5

To provide a structured psychological model that defines the very essence of the disorder, the model will integrate aspects of gene based research, evolution, psychology, philosophy, study information, epigenetics, and will revolve around dynamic variables. We have to stop treating abnormal psychology as a deficit in the brain and start treating it as a cause and effect relationship leading to a deficit in the brain, only then will we begin to understand the form behind the function in which they originate.

Psychology should be the combination of a number of different fields, philosophy should provide the guidance, evolution provides the examples, research the objective observations and finally our subjective analysis should attempt to bring everything together.

Our current DSM is based on objective observation, or what is known as the symptom, this is incorrect as it should reflect the variables in which abnormal psychology functions, this is the goal of this website, a subjective view must be applied to identify the fundamental factors leading up to the disorder, only then will we be able to accurately differentiate between them and make the connections needed to link what lies beyond what we can see to our objective observations. This would give a more accurate view of the whole picture, and give insight into what exactly causes it.
